The Pieces of Herself She Gave Away

No one ever talks about the pieces of herself a woman quietly leaves
behind. They don't see the dreams she tucked away in the drawer because someone else needed her more.
They don't see the tears she cries in the shower so no one will ask if she's okay.
They don't see the sleepless nights spent worrying about her children, her parents, her marriage, her finances, or the future. They only see that somehow, she shows up again the next morning with a smile that hides the weight she's carrying.
A woman becomes so many things to so many people. She is a safe place. The caregiver, the cheerleader, the protector, and the peacemaker. She is the one who remembers everyone's favorite meal, everyone's appointments, everyone's fears, and everyone's dreams. But somehow along the way, she forgets her own.
She pours from a cup that has been empty for far too long because love tells her everyone else comes first.
She gives away her time, her energy, her sleep, her patience, and sometimes even pieces of her identity.
Yet she keeps going.
Not because she isn't tired. Not because she isn't hurting. But because the people she loves are worth every sacrifice.
The heartbreaking truth is that many woman have become experts at carrying burdens no one even knows exist. They smile through heartbreak. They celebrate others while quietly grieving the life they once imagined. They convince themselves that asking for help is weakness when, in reality, it takes incredible strength.
If this sounds like you, I want you to hear something your heart may have forgotten.
You are more than what you do for everyone else. You are worthy of rest.
You are worthy of kindness. You are worthy of being loved as deeply as you love others.
The world had convinced women that sacrificing everything is what makes them valuable.
But your value has never been measured by how much of yourself you can give away.
So today, take back a small piece of yourself.
Watch the sunset.
Read the book that's been collecting dust.
Call a friend who makes you laugh.
Sit in silence.
Dream again.
Because the woman you used to be is still there, waiting patiently beneath all the responsibilities, all the expectations, and all the sacrifices.
And maybe....it's finally your turn.
To every woman who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or forgotten: I see your strength. I see your courage. I see your sacrifices.
You have spent your life being everything to everyone else.
Now, don't forget to be something beautiful for yourself.
Because, you deserve that, too.
Until next time folks, Stay Fearless!
