The Gift of Every Year

Aging is just a number and I intent to make every moment count because life is too short not to smile and enjoy life.
June 7th marks another birthday and not just any old birthday but the BIG one.
As the number grows, I've come to realize something important. Aging isn't about getting older, it's about getting wiser, stronger, and more comfortable in your own skin. The years have taught me lessions I couldn't have learned any other way. They have shown me heartbreak and healing, loss and love, fear and courage.
For a long time, I worried about the things that I couldn't change. The passing years. The wrinkles that appear where laughter and tears once lived. The dreams that seemed delayed by life's unexpected twists and turns.
But now I see things differently.
Aging is just a number.
It doesn't define my spirit, my purpose, or my ability to chase new dreams. It doesn't determine how brightly I shine or how much life I still have left to live. Every birthday is not a reminder of what I've lost, it's a celebration of what I've gained.
I intend to make every moment count.
I want to embrace new adventures, cherish the people I love, and continue writing stories that touch hearts and empower women. I want to laugh louder, love deeper, and appreciate the little moments that often become the memories we treasure most.
As I reflect on this birthday, there is one person who deserves a special place in this story.
Sometimes angels don't have wings. Sometimes they wear fabulous clothes and greet you with a smile that reminds you who you are.
For me, that angel is Deneen at The Boutique Station.
There are people who come into your life for a reason, and then there are those rare souls who help change the course of your journy. Deneen is one of those people. When I struggled to see my worth, she saw it. When I felt like I had lost my spark, she helped me find it again.
Through her kindess, encouragement, her bravery to change her own life, she gave me the courage to transform my life. She reminded me that it was okay to step out of my comfort zone, to beleive in myself, and to embrace the woman I was always ment to become.
How do you thank someone for that?
How do you adequately express gratitude to a person who helped bring you back to yourself?
The truth is, I don't know if words are enough.
What I do know is that the world needs more people like Deneen, people who lift others up, celebrate their victories, and quietly remind them of their strength when they've forgotton it themselves.
As I celebrate another trip around the sun, I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude for every challenge that shaped me, every blessing that found me, every reader who supports my journy, and every friend who stood beside me along the way.
Life is precious. Time is a gift.
And on this birthday, I choose to celebrate not the years behind me, but the possibilities ahead of me.
Because the best chapters are not always the first ones.
Sometimes they're the ones you write after you've rediscovered your spark.
Here is to making every moment count and to my angel Deneen, I am so very luck to call you my friend and Thank you isn't a big enough word!!
Until next time folks....stay fearless and never lose your spark!
