It's not what is under the tree, but who is around your tree that matters most!

It's not what is under your tree, but who is around your tree that matters most!

There is a feeling that december alone brings. The last month of the year. A new beginning just around the corner. The excitement and anticipation of the last big holiday. The warmth you feel in your heart seeing all the glowing Christmas lights. The smiling faces of all the children enjoying the wonder of Christmas magic.

As I look back and wonder where and how this year has flew past me. I think of all the ups and downs. The smiles and the tears. All the struggles and reasons to cheer. It has been quite a year.

So many new things have happened. New career, becoming an author, being an empty nester. Each thing coming with it's own wins and challenges. A whole new chapter in life.

Sometimes you have to chase the things that ignite you. You have to do the things that bring you joy. You have to surround yourself with the people who bring you the feeling of home. You have to put yourself out there, and not worry about what others think of you. Let yourself enjoy the experiences, the happiness and inspiration, because you have a purpose. Life is so very short. Soak it all in.

December is almost gone. Christmas is days away. The hustle and stress of the holidays will steal the joy if you let it. Relax, smile, sip that hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles, (in my case coffee with whipped cream and sprinkles), put your feet up. Turn on some christmas music and stare at the twinkling lights on the tree. It only comes once a year. Enjoy the magic.

Pretty packages are great. Wrapped up all loving under the tree, but I don't need a thing. It has never and never will be about things under the tree. What a mother wants for Christmas is simple. I want to see my family smiling around the tree. I want two arm , sqeezing hugs. Simple things make my heart sing.

I wish health and happiness and plenty of magic for all on this last month of the year.

Happy holidays and may you get all the warm hugs you need this holdiay season.

Keep Smiling !

See you all next year!!
